Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Library is a 501c3 non-profit charitable organization. The board is comprised of a group of dedicated volunteers that raise money to benefit Mount Dora’s W.T. Bland Public Library. We could not do the work we do without your help! We are grateful for your continued generous support. Thanks to you, we were able to give $11,800 last year to fund for 38 on-going programs, book purchases and supplies. This includes early learning story times 6 days a week, the Summer Learning Program and other special activities throughout the year. We also funded the Harry Potter Lobby Experience, the Dinosaur Lobby Experience, Chick Hatching Experience and the Head Start Outreach (33 children receive a book each month). In 2024 we will be the sole sponsor of the Storybook Walk in the new Forest Preserve!
